Arrive In Uganda | Travel To Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary | Rhino Tracking | Travel To Murchison Falls National Park | Top Of Falls | Hiking (Optional)

On arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport, and you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park.

On your way to Murchison Falls National Park, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking; this activity is truly one of a kind in Uganda, the pearl of Africa.

The distance from Entebbe International Park to Ziwa is about 5 hours drive.

Your first tourist attraction in the park is the top of the falls, which are the most powerful waterfalls in the whole world . It is a breathtaking experience that brings you very close to these magnificent falls, where the Nile forces its way through a gorge in the rocks and tumbles 43m below flowing westwards into Lake Albert. The resulting mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows.

After the rhino tracking, you will be driven to Murchison Falls National Park.

After seeing the top of the falls, if time allows, you will enjoy a hiking experience from the top to the bottom of the falls at a fee of 10 USD per person payable at the park and thereafter en-route to your lodge, go for a short evening game drive.

Morning Game Drive | Boat Cruise | Birding | Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you will set off very early in the morning for a morning game drive. You will be able to see various animals like lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos, elephants among others.

Other activities in this game drive include bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah, dotted woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert deltas.

After the morning game drive, you will go to the lodge to relax and have lunch.

After lunch, you will embark (between 2pm and 4pm) on a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile. This boat cruise offers an amazing view of the falls from the bottom. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.

In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive.

After having an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will have lunch en route and be treated with some spectacular scenery on your way to the park.

Morning Game Drive | Visit The Kanangorok Hot Springs | Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you will head out for the morning game drive. If you ever thought of being in the real wild alone, then Kidepo is the perfect place to go Kidepo Valley National Park.

After the morning game drive, you will be transferred to the Kanangorok hot springs, past a nice Lopelangoria observatory point, Kidepo River that is a seasonal river that does not flow during the long dry spells up to the Hot spring.

You will be able to sight the ostriches as they roam the short grassy plains, leopard (if you are lucky) and tortoises along the way.

You will later be driven back to your lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will depart for an evening game drive to search for Kidepo’s exclusive wildlife such as Ostriches, hartebeest, Roan antelopes and many woodland birds.

Morning Game Drive | Cultural Interaction And Community Walk

After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive through the park to encounter zebras, giraffes, and many more wild animals that roam the short grassland plains of the Kidepo valley.

The Scenic view is splendid with Mt. Lotukei in the far background in the Sudan. You will return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, undertake an optional community walk where you will have the opportunity to interact with the local people – the Karamojong. You will spend a wonderful afternoon/evening with the Karamojong people and have an insight of their way of life and beliefs.

Travel To Kapchorwa | Relaxing

After breakfast, you will be driven to Kapchorwa, travel through the remotest zones of Uganda, seeing the villages and grass thatched houses passing by the window. View the wild, domestic and cultural richness of this pearl of Africa, experience quality vegetation.

Hiking Sipi Falls | Optional Activities

After breakfast, you will set off for the highlight of the Sipi Falls safari, which is a walk to experience the three Sipi Falls. These are big water-falls with a spectacular view.

When you get close enough, you will hear the roar of water and feel the water splashing on you! After hiking, you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon of relaxation or take part optional activities at a fee.

Are you looking for a place to abseiling in Uganda; Sipi is the place to go. This activity is done at the main water fall and is most enjoyed by adventurous travelers. Equipment also known as rappels to be used are availed and also there are skilled guides to guide you through this exciting adventure.
- Coffee Plantation Tour: US $40 For The Whole Group
Arabica coffee is grown in Sipi. It is the world’s finest coffee. The coffee plantations are on the lower slopes of Mt. Elgon; while at Sipi add on your experience by visiting these plantations.

The coffee is majorly Arabica coffee and grows within altitudes 1600m and 1900m, it is the cash crop to the Bagishu and Sabiny in this area, during this visit, you will talk to the farmers, participate in picking the coffee beans if it is harvest time, roast them, pound them using local mortars and finally make yourself a cup of coffee.

All proceeds from this tour go to the local communities, you will also be able to see how people live in these communities.

White Water Rafting | Travel To Kampala

After breakfast, you will go for White Water Rafting on the rapids which are an adventure and an unforgettable experience. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries.

After the rafting, you will travel to Kampala, you will go through Mabira forest. The Mabira Forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometers. It is home for many endangered species like the primate Lophocebus Uganda.

On arrival in Kampala, you will check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Transfer To Kibale National Park | Bigodi Community Walk

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park, driving Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the Great Western Rift Valley. You will have lunch on your way.

The driving distance from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park is approximately 7 hours. However, the journey offers scenic views and opportunities to observe beautiful landscapes, making it a worthwhile experience.

This route provides a chance to appreciate the diverse geography and natural beauty of the region, enhancing the overall travel experience.

On arrival in Kibale National Park, you will be driven to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community walk and cultural interaction. It is a fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp.

This area is recognized for an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates species like the red colobus monkeys, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and the L’Hoest monkeys. Additional mammals such as sitatungas, mongooses, bush pigs, otters plus bush bucks.

Chimpanzee Tracking | Visit Sempaya Hot Springs

After breakfast, you will head out with your guide and a packed lunch to the park head offices for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. You will start early and take about two to six hours, depending on the location of the chimps.

After chimpanzee trekking, you will be driven to Sempaya hot springs which are the main attraction of Semiliki National Park and among the safari highlights. At the springs, you will witness water boiling it’s self-using the natural forces.

The strength and hotness of the springs are amazing as one can boil eggs and matooke in a few minutes, its ready to eat.

After visiting hot springs, you will be transferred back to your lodge.

Travel To Queen Elizabeth National Park | Boat Ride | Game Drive

After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a huge park where wildlife and people coexist in harmony.

On arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, passing squacco herons, pied kingfishers, large numbers of buffalo and hippo, basking crocodiles and very many different bird species and large mammals. This is one of the most memorable experiences from the park. Over 300 hippos are found in the lake.

After the boat cruise, you will go for an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park aiming to catch the lions hunting in the evening. Lions usually hunt when the temperatures are cooler. We also expect to see the Uganda kob, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, leopards and waterbucks.

Travel To Ishasha Sector | Tree Climbing Lions | Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park | Batwa Cultural Interaction

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Ishasha Sector for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains. Ishasha is located in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth.

Have a game drive in Ishasha, famous for its tree climbing lions. The Ishasha Sector is notably recognized for its resident tree-climbing lions which are an exceptional attraction.

After the game drive in Ishasha it is time to move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas. You will have lunch en route.

On arrival, you will check in at your lodge, then later in the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa. This is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for over 500,000 years. You will enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

The driving distance from Ishasha to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is approximately 6 hours. However, the journey offers scenic views and opportunities to observe beautiful landscapes, making it a worthwhile experience.

Gorilla Trekking | Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi With 29 Islands

After breakfast, you will head out with your guide and a packed lunch to the park head offices for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking.

Afterwards, you will head out for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest. Trekking lasts two to six hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

Spending time in the presence of mountain gorillas is a real privilege, so we are sure you will enjoy trekking deep into the forest to find them. This is one of the most memorable experiences you can have while on safari.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, which is a twisting water body, dotted with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water.

On arrival at Lake Bunyonyi, you will check in at your lodge and relax for the rest of your day.

After having a delightful breakfast, you will be driven to Kampala. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka.

You will be able to see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Lunch, snacks, souvenirs and photographs may be taken here.

After that, you will be driven to Kampala. Depending on the arrival time in Kampala, you will go for the city tour.

Full Day Game Drive In Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will spend the whole day in Amboseli National Park doing game drives. This park is termed as an Animal’s paradise.

Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli National Park also contains vast groups of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain gamed through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro.

Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy falcon.

Lake Nakuru National Park's claim to fame is anchored on its numerous flamingos and over 400 different bird species. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley.

Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes and it is world-famous for attracting millions of flamingos to its alkaline shores.

Feeding on the abundant algae that grows in the warm and shallow waters, witnessing these legions of fuchsia-pink flamingos is a sight to behold.

Travel To Crescent Island | Boat Ride | Relaxing

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Crescent Island on a boat ride.

Crescent Island Game Sanctuary is located on Lake Naivasha, in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya and is often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret.

Crescent Island Game Sanctuary is surrounded by water, it is actually a peninsula and is currently only accessible by boat from the east or west side. The shores host abundant birdlife including pelicans, cormorants, and fish-eagles with their haunting cry.

There are more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park, hence many film companies have been to the Island to film the herds of Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Zebra, and Gazelle. Later return to your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. Here lies a narrow belt of acacia woodland and a floodplain that is filled seasonally by Lake Manyara which is often overlooked, but game-rich and best known for its tree-climbing lions.

Walk along the main street of Mto Wa Mbu which is strung out along the road close to the gate for Lake Manyara National Park.

Tanzania is a popular safari destination in Africa. The Tanzania safari tours and holidays based on the wildlife viewing is incredible, with big cats being especially visible. What are Gorilla Trekking Rules And Regulations?

Before Departing On Your Gorilla Trekking:

A maximum number of eight visitors may visit a group of habituated mountain gorillas in a day. This minimizes behavioral disturbance to the gorillas and the risk of their exposure to human-borne diseases.
Always wash your hands before you head out to the gorillas.

On The Way To The Gorillas:

Please always keep your voices low. You will also be able to observe the great birdlife and other wildlife in the forest.
DO NOT leave rubbish in the park. Whatever you bring into the forest should be carried back out with you.
You will be taken to where the guides observed the gorillas the day before. From there you will follow the gorilla’s trail to find them. Look out for the gorilla’s nesting sites along the way!
When you approach the mountain gorillas, the guides will inform you to get ready.

When You Are With The Gorillas:

A seven-meter (21 feet) distance should be tried to be observed at all times from the gorillas. The further back you are, the more relaxed the group will be.
You must stay in a tight group whey you are near the gorillas.
Keep your voices down at all times. However, it is okay to ask the guide questions.
Do not smoke, drink, or eat when you are near the gorillas. Eating or drinking inevitably will increase the risk of food/drink morsels/droplets falling, which could increase the risk of transmission of diseases.
Sometimes the gorillas charge. Follow the guides example (crouch down slowly, do not look the gorillas directly in the eyes, and wait for the animals to pass). Do not attempt to run away because that will increase the risk.
Flash photography is not permitted! When taking pictures move slowly and carefully.
Do not touch the gorillas. They are wild animals.
The maximum time you can spend with the gorillas is one hour. However, if the gorillas become agitated or nervous, the guide will finish the visit early.
After the visit keep your voices down until you are 200 meters away from the gorillas.

General Health Rules:

Remember that mountain gorillas are very susceptible to human diseases. The following rules are ways to minimize the risk your visit might pose to them.
Respect the limits imposed on the number of visitors allowed with the gorillas each day. This minimizes the risk of disease transmission and stress to the group.
If you are feeling ill, or you are carrying a contagious disease, volunteer to stay behind. An alternate visit will be arranged for you, or you will be refunded your money.
If you feel the urge to cough or sneeze when you are near the gorillas, please turn your head away and cover your nose and mouth in order to minimize the spread of bacteria or viruses.
Always stay seven meters (21 feet) away from the gorillas. This is to protect them from catching human diseases.
Do not leave any rubbish (eg. food wrappers) in the park; foreign items can harbor diseases or other contaminants.
If you need to go to the toilet while in the forest, please ask the guide to dig you a hole with his panga. Make sure the hole is 30 centimeters deep and fill it in when you are finished.

What To Bring On Your Gorilla Safari:

Wear comfortable hiking shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes.
Put on earplugs for those who feel uncomfortable with the jungle sounds.
Carry a packed lunch and enough drinking water.
Carry rain gear, sunscreen lotion, a hat (as the weather is unpredictable), and insect repellent.
Bring a photo of a film camera. Using a flashlight is not permitted so we recommend using films of 400-800 ASA.
