The first destination to visit in Uganda is the famous Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area, home to more than 73 animal species, including buffaloes, leopards, lions, and elephants, 3/4 of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of herbivores. In addition to 451 bird species, including 23 Albertine rift endemics.
The mighty River Nile flows through the park creating a powerful phenomenon at the Kabalega Falls. Enjoy the views of these magnificent falls where Nile forces its way through a gorge in the rocks and tumbles 43m below flowing westwards into Lake Albert. After Murchison Falls National Park, you will visit Kibale National Park; a haven with the largest concentration of chimpanzees. Uganda has highest number of Chimpanzee in the whole world which is about 4950 chimpanzees and Kibale National Park holds about 1500 chimpanzees.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the largest biotic area in Africa. It is a habitat for variety of flora and fauna, hippo, tree-climbing lions, elephants, swamp antelope, Uganda-kobs, topis, water bucks, bush bucks, reed bucks, duiker, and many other animal species. It is a home to over 95 species of mammals and over 600 species of birds. The park is also Uganda’s most popular tourist destination.
You will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on boat cruise by viewing Squacco herons, hippos, Elephants, Antelopes, and more.
You will visit the Ishasha sector, in the far south of the park, is famous for its tree-climbing lions; these female lions, who enjoy spending the long, are the most memorable sight in the entire park, but don’t miss the superb birdlife or the wonderful boat trip on the Kazinga Channel either.
Then you will have Mountain Gorilla trekking in the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Did know that Uganda has the highest percentage of Mountain Gorillas in the world? There are currently less than 1200 mountain gorillas left in the world and almost half of the population resides in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Gorilla trekking is one of the top activities while on a safari.
Another interesting destination you will visit is Lake Bunyonyi, this twisting water body dotted with 29 islands will amaze you.
Maasai Mara is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary with well over 450 animal species. You will experience some game drives during this safari. Besides experiencing the game drives, you will have time to enjoy the scenic view of the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Naivasha National Park is arguably one of the main attractions in Kenya. For one, it‘s a gateway to a variety of wildlife. Taking a boat excursion with your family will give you spectacular views of; Flamingoes, Hippos and Fish eagles.
Lake Nakuru National Park’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Park has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.
You will also get an opportunity to visit Serengeti National Park, is also home to the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – and you might be able to see all the members of this group. After Serengeti, you visit the wildlife rich Ngorongoro Crater.

On arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park.
On your way to Murchison Falls National Park, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking; this is one of the breathtaking activities in Uganda, the pearl of Africa.
After the rhino tracking, you will be driven to Murchison Falls National Park.
Your first tourist attraction in the park is the top of the falls. It is an exciting experience that brings you very close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes itself through the narrow crevice below. The
resulting mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows.
After enjoying the top of the falls, you will go for a short evening drive before going to your lodge.

After breakfast, you will set off very early in the morning for a morning game drive. You will see different animals.
Other activities in this game drive include bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah, dotted woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert deltas.
After the morning game drive, you embark (between 2pm and 4pm) on a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile. This boat cruise offers an amazing view of the falls from the bottom. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National park, driving Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima, then Kyejonjo district and reach the colorful and beautiful town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori. You will either have lunch on your way or at the hotel.
On arrival in Kibale National Park, drive to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community walk and cultural interaction. It is an fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp.
This area is recognized for an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey. Additional Mammals such as sitatunga, mongooses, bush pigs, otters plus bush bucks.
Dinner and Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (Non-self contained tents)
After breakfast, set off for chimpanzee trekking with your packed lunches. You will start early and take about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimps. After trekking, you will go back to your lodge and spend the entire evening relaxing.
The opportunity to see chimpanzees in the wild is one of the most memorable of all safari activities. Getting close to these creatures that share so much of our DNA is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the excitement of walking through the forest and knowing that they are close will stay with you forever.
Dinner and Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (Non-self contained tents)
After breakfast, visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and the three surrounding explosion Crater Lakes. This makes it a most interesting day adventure and can be done while staying in Fort portal. A side-trip to the Amabere Caves and the three nearby Crater Lakes will be a time of hiking, learning about the local culture and legends, plus a hike around three crater lakes.
After visiting Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National park. This is a huge park where wildlife and people coexist in harmony.
You will have lunch on your way. On arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will go for the boat ride. You will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, passing squacco herons, pied kingfishers, large numbers of buffalo and hippo, basking crocodiles and very many different bird species and large mammals. This is one of the most memorable experiences from the park. Over 300 hippos are found in the lake. After the boat ride, you will go for an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park aiming to catch the lions hunting in the evening. Lions usually hunt when the temperatures are cooler. We also expect to see the Uganda kob, elephants, buffalo, warthog, leopard and waterbuck.

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains, it is time to go to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth: Ishasha. This area is famous for its tree climbing lions.
When you arrive in Ishasha you will first try to spot the lions in one of the huge trees. The Ishasha sector is notably recognized for its resident Tree climbing lions that are an exceptional attraction and one among the highlights on all safaris taken within Queen Elizabeth National park. In the southern section of this park, the Lions are now and again spotted hanging on branches of huge fig trees whereas the Uganda Kob (which are the major food to these lions) graze in the plains of the Ishasha sector.
After game drive in Ishasha it is time to move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas.
Check in at your lodge for lunch; prepare for yet another highlight of this amazing trip: tracking mountain gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others and covering an area of 331 sq km.
In the evening, you will embark on a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years, enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After breakfast, head out with your packed lunches to the park head offices with your guide, have a briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas.
After head out for gorilla trekking through the mist rain forest, trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the gentle giants.
Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets. At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower, check out and be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi which twisting water body dotted with 29 islands with various shapes and sized scattered across the water will amaze you.

After breakfast, you will relax at your hotel until lunch time. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m).It is probably is the second deepest lake in Africa. It is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming - there is no bilharzia.
After lunch, you will head out for zip lining; this activity is done over the lake.
You will have another interesting activity; here you still stretch your muscles as you have the Ninja warrior.

After your breakfast, you will be driven to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the Equator for lunch in Masaka, see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs and photographs may be taken here.
After spending time at the equator, you will be transferred to Kampala.

You will depart to Jinja with your packed lunch going through Mabira forest. The Mabira Forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometer's. It is home for many endangered species like the primate Lophocebus Uganda.
Distance from Kampala to Jinja is 2 hours’ drive.
On arrival in Jinja, you will go for White Water Rafting on the rapids which are an adventure and an unforgettable experience. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries.
After white water rafting, you will check in at your hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will rest at the lodge on the swimming pool.

After breakfast, you will be transfer Hell’s Gate National Park for bike riding which will take about 2 hours. When you arrive, you will go for bike riding and walking safaris. After breakfast, depart for early morning game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes and is world-famous for attracting millions of flamingos to its alkaline shores. Feeding on the abundant algae that grows in the warm and shallow waters, witnessing these legions of fuchsia-pink flamingos is a sight to behold.
After the morning drive, head out to Maasai Mara. You will pass through the floor of the rift valley arriving in the evening.

In the evening, you will visit the local Maasai village for a cultural tour. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people.

The months of June through October are perfect for visiting Kenya. Trails are more accessible and the weather is more reliable during this time. This is also in sync with the annual Maasai Mara wildebeest and zebra migration. Animals are congregating in large numbers around the remaining water sources as the dry season continues.
Unfortunately, high-season prices are in effect all year long, with the exception of June It’s also more crowded,. The crowds are also larger – in some parks, the queue of safari vehicles can take away something from your experience, and some areas of the Maasai Mara can be completely overwhelmed with vehicles during the migration.
However, many travelers prefer the months of November through February because that is when the majority of migratory birds arrive, travel is rarely interrupted by rain, and the country is transformed into a lovely shade of green. Heavy rains are possible during this time of year, turning safari trails into muddy bogs, so most tourists avoid it. During these months, costs are reduced.
2. How are the wildlife viewing opportunities in Kenya?
Kenya’s parks offer a wide range of experiences for wildlife viewers. Many of the most visited National Parks in Kenya, including Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Samburu, and Lake Nakuru, offer excellent chances to see exotic and endangered species on safari. All of these parks have dense animal populations, making them excellent all-around safari destinations where you can see a wide variety of animals in a short amount of time.
The Big Five are commonly seen on safaris. One of the best places in Africa to see big cats is the Maasai Mara, and white rhinos are common at Kenya’s Lake Nakuru National Park. Thousands upon thousands of flamingos flock to the shallow waters of the Rift Valley lakes, particularly Lake Bogoria, each year in search of food.
3. Is Kenya safe for tourists?
A trip to Kenya for a safari is in most cases risk-free, but there are a few things travelers should keep in mind. There is a widespread perception that Nairobi and other major cities in Kenya are plagued by high rates of violent crime.
Kubwa Five Safaris have a good reputation when it comes to safety, and if you pay attention to the safety briefings and do as your guides instruct, you should have no problems.
The optimal time to book a safari in Tanzania varies dependent on the individual’s goals for the trip. Planning beforehand is essential if witnessing the wildebeest migration is the primary goal of your trip. From June to October is when you have the best chance of seeing the wildebeest migration in Serengeti, though you wil need to remain in different parts of the park at different phases of the migration, which is unpredictable because it depends on the rain.
To avoid the crowds, it’s best to book your Serengeti hotel room well in advance of the annual wildebeest migration. If you plan on going on a safari, avoid the months of March through May because that’s when it rains the most.
2. How are the wildlife viewing opportunities in Tanzania?
The chances of seeing exotic animals in Tanzania are high. Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater are all stops on the Northern Circuit of Tanzania safaris. Even though some of these parks are only open during certain times of the year, they all offer fantastic opportunity to see wild animals. If you want to get the most out of it, you should go the whole thing and see the different ecosystems and habitats that make up the park.
The parks are large enough that you can find solitude if you want it, but this is still a very popular route, so you can expect to be among other people at various points. If you need some peace and quiet, the Southern circuit offers slightly more challenging but still excellent game viewing. It’s possible that repeat travelers to Africa who aren’t as eager to see the Big Five would enjoy this route more.

To counter this, it’s not a good idea to go out on foot at night in Dar es Salaam or any other large city because of the high rate of petty crime. Tourists are occasionally targeted in Arusha and other urban tourist hotspots, but most of the time the bother is innocuous and is really just touts trying to sell things (anything from safaris to beaded necklaces). It is usually enough to be firm and stand your ground to diffuse any situation.
The vast majority of tourists to Tanzania don’t spend much (if any) time in urban areas, therefore this shouldn’t be a problem.

Absolutely nothing like it had ever happened before. Our rides were prompt, and we were treated like royalty the whole way. Likewise, we never once worried for our safety.
Peter, our driver, was fantastic; he was helpful, friendly, and totally chill. Peter was our hero for the journey, and if I were to come back, he would be our driver once again. To see the best of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, we suggest a trip organized by Kubwa Five Safaris.-
The lodging is spotless and the safari was a great experience, but was not even close to being the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me.
Delicious meals were provided for us three times a day, and we were provided with bottled water to drink while we were traveling in the cars.
Our tour guide was really passionate about giving us the opportunity to see the Big Five animals.

We saw far more animals than I had anticipated, including lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, birds, hypos, and many others. We also saw several bird species.
The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and informative.
