Burigi game reserve has the wide collection of wildlife and some of them are antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, leopards, giraffes and lions. It is situated close to the boarder of Lake Victoria and boarder of Rwanda, this national park is surrounded by the wondrous waters of the Kagera River and Lake Burigi.  The Burigi game reserve was formed on 9th July 2019 traces its origin back to 1970’s where it acquired the status national game reserve. How to access Burigi Chato game reserve

The park can be accessed by both air and road with the nearest local town Chato which has an International Airport, and private charters are possible to an airstrip near the Nkonje Ranger Post near Lake Burigi.

To visit Burigi Chato Game Reserve, one may fly from Dar es Salaam to drive to Burigi or fly from Dar es Saalam to Chato Airport then drive to Burigi-Chato National Park.
