I’m Friday Charles, a professional safari guide with over six years of experience in guiding and nature interpretation. I speak six languages, including English, which allows me to effectively communicate with guests from diverse backgrounds.
My passion for tourism stems from a deep love for travel, culture, and connecting with people from all walks of life. Every safari is an opportunity to promote cultural understanding, learn something new about my country, and share the rich beauty of wildlife and nature.
One unforgettable moment during a gorilla trekking experience involved a brief encounter with a guest from Malaysia. A curious baby gorilla came close and gently pulled him. We all laughed, thinking the gorilla mistook him for one of their own. It’s memories like these that make my work so meaningful.
I constantly grow my skills by reading about wildlife, researching nature interpretation, and relaxing to music in my free time.
Favorite Animal: Eland Antelope because of the unique clicking sound males produce with their knees as they walk.
Favorite Bird: Red-chested Cuckoo
I admire Kubwa Five Safaris not only for delivering unforgettable safari experiences but also for its strong commitment to empowering local communities and promoting environmental sustainability. Being part of this purpose-driven team allows me to grow professionally while contributing to the future of African tourism.
