    01

    Arrive In Uganda | Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park | Evening Game Drive

    On arrival in Uganda in the morning hours, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport then be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy scenic views along the way.

    On arrival, you will go for the evening game drive

    02

    Morning Game Drive | Afternoon Boat Cruise In Kazinga Channel | Evening Game Drive

    After breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a huge park where wildlife and people co-exist in harmony.
    Set on the Rift Valley floor in view of the snow-capped Rwenzori peaks, Queen Elizabeth National Park offers plenty of variety to safarigoers.

    On the Kasenyi and Ishasha Plains, large herds of Uganda kob, the national antelope, stand on constant guard for the lions that feed on them.

    In the afternoon, you will go for the boat ride. Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, passing herons, pied kingfishers, large numbers of buffaloes and hippos, basking crocodiles, and many different bird species and large mammals.

    Lakes Edward and George, together with the connecting Kazinga Channel, support around 5,000 hippos.

    Visit Ishasha Sector | Tracking Tree Climbing Lions | Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park | Batwa Cultural Interaction

    After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Buffalos, elephants and various antelopes are likely to be seen in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, but the focal point of our visit will be locations favored by its legendary tree-climbing lions.

    After the game drive in Ishasha, we move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas.

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
    Supporting almost half the world's mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is arguably the best place anywhere in the world to track these charismatic gentle giants through their misty forest home. But there is far more to this UNESCO World Heritage Site than just gorillas. The lush forest interior is also home to a diversity of other mammals, ranging from L’Hoest’s monkey and chimpanzee to elephant and the yellowbacked duiker.

    A total of 350 bird species, 23 of which are unique to the Albertine Rift Valley, ensure that Bwindi ranks among East Africa's most rewarding birdwatching destinations.


    We will embark on a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years. You will enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

    04

    Gorilla Trekking | Relaxation In The Evening

    After breakfast, head out with packed lunches to the park head offices with your guide.

    You will have a briefing about the do's and don’ts while in the park with the gorillas. Afterward, head out for the gorilla trekking through the misty rainforest.


    Trekking can take between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

    Spending time in the presence of mountain gorillas is a real privilege, so we're sure you'll enjoy trekking deep into the forest to find them. This is one of the most memorable experiences you can have while on safari.


    At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to your lodge for a well-deserved shower.

    05

    The Last Day With Us | A Stopover At The Equator | Travel To Airport | Fly Back Home

    After your breakfast, you will be driven to Entebbe International Airport. You will have a stopover at the Equator for lunch in Masaka. See where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs and photographs may be taken here.


    After lunch, you will proceed to Entebbe for your scheduled flight back home.

    We wish you could stay with us forever, but your safari in Uganda will now draw to a close. We have no doubt that we will have shown you the most incredible time here, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Transfer from and to the airport is included. Our Kubwa Five Safaris guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport. 

It is the road transfer from the airport to the park and back.

After your thrilling vacation in Uganda, our Kubwa Five Safaris guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.

Mountain Gorilla trekking in Uganda can be a moderately to highly challenging activity, depending on several factors:

Terrain: The terrain can be steep, muddy, and slippery, making it essential to wear sturdy hiking boots and be prepared for variable conditions. Despite these challenges, many people successfully complete gorilla treks with proper preparation and guidance. The reward of observing majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat makes the experience truly unforgettable.

Physical demands: Trekking through dense forests and rugged terrain can be physically demanding, requiring a good level of fitness.

4. What should I pack for the trip?

Bring lightweight clothing, sturdy hiking boots, long sleeves/pants, a rain jacket, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. Don’t forget a good camera and binoculars!

5. Is this trip suitable for children?

Gorilla trekking is only permitted for visitors aged 15 years and above. Families with younger children can enjoy alternative activities like game drives and boat cruises.

6. Where will I be staying during the trip?

You will stay in carefully selected budget lodges but if you have want to have upgrade your accommodations to mid-range or luxury, please let us know. Please note that all lodges are self contained i.e. they have bathrooms inside the rooms.
