Uganda has the highest percentage of Mountain Gorillas in the world and this 5 Days Uganda Safari starts with an excursion to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a place run by the Jane Goodall Institute, home to orphaned and rescued chimpanzees. Then continue to track gorillas in the primaeval forest of Bwindi.
Bwindi Impenetrable Park has 12 habituated gorilla families that can be tracked by travellers in the four sectors of Buhoma, Nkuringo, Ruhiija and Rushaga. All families exhibit unique behaviours and characteristics, and if you have enough time and resources you can track more than one group during your trip.

Single Room Supplement: USD 180
SRS- Stands for Single Room Supplement. Most of the hotels have double rooms (A room with one big bed for 2 people or a room with 2 single beds occupied by 2 people) this means the 3rd person will be left without a room to stay and the alternative would be to occupy the single room (a room with one bed ). SRS apply for non-even (3, 5, 7, 9,11…) travelers. Therefore the SRS fee is being paid by the person occupying a room alone.

Buhoma Lodge
Buhoma lodge has Eight, comfortable cottages each with its own private veranda, offering extensive views of the forest canopy of the National Park. Inside the spacious cottages have comfortable beds, a well-appointed en suite bathroom with a flushing toilet and a hot shower, some rooms have bathtubs. An elevated lounge area, complete with bar and dining facilities, offers a cosy, comfortable environment in which to discuss the day’s activities around the fireplace.
Overnight in Kampala, this can be done on day 5.
Overnight and Dinner at Sky hotel. Sky hotel in Kampala located 10 Km from the city center towards Naalya Housing Estate, it has a capacity of 29 Rooms with twin beds taking up 58 guests, there is one restaurant, which is open from 7-10 am for breakfast. However, it is open for the rest of the day for meals.
Travel to Jinja, city tour, this can be done on day 6.
Depart for Jinja after your breakfast. You will be driven to Jinja. You will go through Mabira forest. The Mabira Forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometers in Uganda, located in Buikwe District, between Lugazi and Jinja. It has been protected as Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932. It is home for many endangered species like the primate Lophocebus Uganda

Whitewater rafting & discovering the River Nile, this can be done on day 7.
Have an early breakfast and head out for today’s activities. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries. So your driver will take you to where the beginning point is as you go for discovering the Source of the Nile; you will go for a guided boat cruise on the Nile.
After the boat ride, go for half day rafting on the rapids which is an adventure and an unforgettable experience.
Have lunch and after you could choose to rest at the lodge on the swimming pool or go for optional activities like bungee jumping or kayaking or quad biking or Horse riding.

Return to Kampala the Entebbe International Airport, this can be done on day 8.
Take breakfast leave Jinja for Kampala buy some souvenirs to take home with you. If you have a flight on the same day your guide will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for a departure flight home.

How to get there
Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Kubwa Five Safaris will pick you up from the airport.
Cancellation Policy
On your arrival, Kubwa Five Safaris representative with your name printed on an A4 paper will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe airport and transfer you to Anderita Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
After your breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel by Kubwa Five guide and taken to Wildlife Education Centre for a boat cruise to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary; home to the orphaned chimpanzees.
Arrive in time to catch up with their lunch hour as they respond to the bell and gather near the fence to be fed on fruits. You will also visit the laboratories and where the sick chimps are treated. After your lunch, return for an overnight at Anderita Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
Depart Kampala at 7:00am for Bwindi NP in South-Western Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator allows time for photographs and souvenir shopping at the crafts market. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening.
Overnight stay at Buhoma lodge
After breakfast, we prepare for our gorilla tracking adventure which begins at 8:00am with a briefing at the information center by the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. We will then be guided into the jungle to track the shy primates.
Gorilla tracking may take 3 to 7 hours but it is well worth the effort. Once you get sight of the gorillas, you have an hour to admire, observe and take photos of them. It’s advisable to bring along a rain jacket and hiking boots. At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to the Buhoma lodge for a well-deserved shower, dinner and rest.
After breakfast, depart to Kampala with an en route lunch in Mbarara. Arrive in Kampala in the evening (depending on arrival time in Kampala, you will be taken for a city tour) and transferred to Entebbe for your departure flight home.
Accommodation for tonight is not inclusive in the program. If you wish to depart tonight from Entebbe International Airport (EBB), make sure your flight is at 10:00 or later. If you would like us to book one (or more) nights in Kampala and/or Entebbe, please let Kubwa Five Safaris know.
