Zambezi National Park is a national park located upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. In addition to these charismatic members of the “big 5” there are herds of sable antelope, common eland, common zebra, Southern giraffe, greater kudu, waterbuck, and impala. In addition, many species of smaller wildlife can be seen here.

Pel’s fishing owl, African skimmer, collared palm thrush, lanner falcon, goliath heron, African finfoot, rock pratincole, and long-toed lapwing are considered to be among the specialty birds of the park. Aside from birds and land animals, there are 75 species of fish located in the park, including the famous tiger fish.
Mpisi Cultural Village
Victoria Falls is a remarkable place not just because of its unrivaled natural beauty, but because it is filled with people who are rich in tradition and culture. Twenty minutes out of the Victoria Falls town sits the Mpisi village, home to the Matabele people. The rural village welcomes tourists at the discretion of the Headman, and the village tour is an enlightening and enriching experience that enables visitors to immerse themselves in a rural lifestyle by meeting the village’s people, learning about their daily routines, and perhaps even assisting with the day-to-day chores. N1 Hotel
The N1 Hotel was established in 2010 for clean and affordable accommodation in Victoria Falls. Refurbished in late 2015, the hotel has a fresh look and now caters for both budget travelers and campers. Its location is within easy walking distance of one of the 7 wonders of the world on one side, and the town center on the other side. It is a stone throw from the Elephant’s Walk Shopping Centre, which has upmarket curios shops and some nice restaurants. It is only 1.1km distance from the Victoria Falls rainforest entrance, so it is perfectly positioned.
The hotel is typical of a budget hotel with minimal amenities in order to keep the prices low but there are tea and coffee making facilities in each room. Standard rooms have double beds or twin. The bathrooms are smart and have a shower and washbasin only. The superior rooms have the most space and the bathroom has a washbasin and both a tub and shower. For those with a smaller budget, the dormitories with bunk beds are a good option if you don’t want to carry camping equipment.
The new campsite at N1 Hotel offers campers a pleasant experience on soft green manicured lawns, with lighting, power sockets and a small barbecue grill at each point. The entertainment area of the hotel is located on the campsite grounds. There, campers and hotel guests can relax and watch television, cool off in the sparkling swimming pool, or have a braai on the larger grill next to the pool. The ablution facilities are clean, with showers and shaving sockets in the men’s block. The campsite is wheelchair friendly.

Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls
The Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls was built in 1999. This architectural masterpiece is designed in the style of The Great Zimbabwe Ruins. The design and bright African themed décor makes for a great atmosphere and authentic feel.
It is one of the closest hotels to the Victoria Falls being a short five-minute walk away down a private path from the hotel. Please note that this path goes through part of the Victoria Falls National Park, which is not bound by any barriers. Therefore, wildlife roam freely in the area and you may encounter warthogs, elephants, kudu, and sometimes (though rarely) even lion. We encourage you to keep your distance and have respect for these wild animals.
The accommodation at the Kingdom Hotel is extremely well priced for this area and is a good value for money. It is one of our recommended hotels.
The design of the Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls has taken into account the needs of families, groups, conferences and holidaymakers wanting a fun, resort style hotel.
The Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls also has a beautiful pool area with two swimming pools, a pool terrace with one of the resort’s many bars.
A great deal of attention has been paid to the smaller details such as the cast iron ‘seed-pod’ bar and the hand-sculpted statues on the lawn – all adding to that ‘magical kingdom’ effect.
The hotel has 294 rooms which are situated in separate two and three storey units, built around the large water feature lake. The rooms are bright and spacious and decorated to match the African theme. All the rooms have balconies and some of them overlook the lake, while the others overlook the property’s gardens. Many of the rooms have extra bunk beds for families and there are two twin bedded paraplegic rooms. There are also four suites each with a separate lounge and extra bedroom, as well as a mini bar. The Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls also has elevators and ramps to assist guests with special needs.
The newer wing called the Kings Club is a refurbished section of the hotel but offers more services to guests. Additions such as complimentary airport transfers, a personal hostess throughout your stay, a bottle of wine and complimentary hand massage, gives an extra special experience as a guest of the Kings Club.
On your arrival, Kubwa Five Safaris representative with your name printed on an A4 paper will welcome you to Zimbabwe at Victoria International Airport and transfer you in one of our luxurious air-conditioned vehicles to the hotel which roughly 20 minutes away from the airport past the Victoria Falls town.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we will give you time to refresh as you prepare for the Victoria Falls tour. You will be picked to the Mighty Victoria Falls for a tour which takes roughly one hour thirty minutes. This is a great opportunity to have great photographs and get drenched in the rain forest.
