    Arrive In Tanzania | Transfer To Mkomazi National Park | Relaxing

    On arrival in Tanzania in the morning hours, you will be welcomed and pickep up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Julius Nyerere International Airport and be transferred to Mkomazi National Park.

    This is the moment you've been waiting for and therefore, your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to and we'll get your trip underway as soon as we give you an introduction to our team and explain what lies ahead.

    The journey will take about 6-7 hours. You will be enjoying different views of Tanzania's landscape including the Usambara and Pare Mountains. Hot lunch will be provided at the restaurant in Mombo.

    On arrival, you will check into your lodge and do some relaxing to rest off the jet lag and fatigue from the long drive.

    Full-Day Game Drive In Mkomazi National Park

    After breakfast, you go for a full day of game viewing taking a packed lunch to maximize your time.

    Most of the animals that you will see are endangered species, particularly the black rhino and wild dog along with several bird species.

    As you traverse the park’s network of rugged tracks, you may encounter large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes browsing treetops, and zebras and antelopes grazing peacefully across the plains.

    Mkomazi is particularly renowned for its successful conservation programs, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to spot endangered species. A visit to the rhino sanctuary offers a rare opportunity to see black rhinos in a protected environment, while the African wild dog conservation area provides a chance to witness one of Africa’s most elusive predators.

From June to October is when you have the best chance of seeing the wildebeest migration in Serengeti, though you wil need to remain in different parts of the park at different phases of the migration, which is unpredictable because it depends on the rain.

To avoid the crowds, it’s best to book your Serengeti hotel room well in advance of the annual wildebeest migration. If you plan on going on a safari, avoid the months of March through May because that’s when it rains the most.

2. How are the wildlife viewing opportunities in Tanzania?
