Join Kubwa Five Safaris for this 3 days spontaneous adventure. It takes you to Lake Mburo National Park, a great opportunity to see several savannah wildlife such as the warthog, zebras, gigantic eland, topi, leopards, impala, and several savannah bird species some of which include hornbills, lapwings, and cocqui francolin.

Lake Mburo is also said to have a very high concentration of leopards, because of the availability of thousands of their favorite prey, the Impala.

Lake Mburo is one of the few national parks in Uganda where you can enjoy or see the wild game while walking.

Transportation

4×4 Safari Landcruiser / minivan (up to eight passengers) with pop-up tops and seven window seats for game viewing. Groups of twelve or more people who would like to travel in one vehicle are offered 25-28 seat coasters that have about 16 window seats. The safari vehicles are well maintained to provide a maximum level of comfort and safety.

Single Room Supplement: USD $ 120

Single Room Supplement: Most of the hotels have double rooms (A room with one big bed for 2 people or a room with 2 single beds occupied by 2 people) this means the 3rd person will be left without a room to stay and the alternative would be to occupy the single room (a room with one bed ). SRS apply for non-even (3, 5, 7, 9,11…) travelers. Therefore the SRS fee is being paid by the person occupying a room alone.


Accommodation

During this thrilling trip, you will be accommodated at two accommodation styles.

The accommodation is valid and will greatly depend on your budget. At whatever level, Kubwa Five Safaris provides the very best for you. Kubwa Five Safaris reserves the right to substitute equivalent or superior hotels. If a hotel of an equivalent standard is not available, Kubwa Five Safaris may substitute the next best quality hotel or suggest a superior at an extra charge. There is free Wi-Fi in hotels.

Sky Hotel Naalya

Depending on the time of your arrival, you may be able to explore the sites in and around Kampala. Another option of the accommodation depending on your arrival time. You will stay in Sky Hotel in Kampala, located 10 kilometers from the city center towards Naalya Housing Estate, it has a capacity of 29 rooms with twin beds taking up 58 guests, there is one restaurant, which is open from 07:00 – 10:00 for breakfast. However, it is open for the rest of the day for meals. The hotel has cozy safari style furnished rooms, equipped with satellite TV, fridge bar, telephone, fan,  and a comfortable bathroom.

Mihingo Lodge

Mihingo is a luxurious, family-owned lodge in a magical setting adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park. To further enhance your experience of wild Africa, Mihingo is the only lodge in Uganda to offer daytime and overnight horse safaris into the national park.

Explore The River Nile

Overnight in Kampala, this can be done on day 3.

Sky hotel in Kampala located 10 Km from the city center towards Naalya Housing Estate, it has a capacity of 29 Rooms with twin beds taking up 58 guests, there is one restaurant, which is open from 7-10 am for breakfast. However, it is open for the rest of the day for meals.

Travel to Jinja, city tour, this can be done on day 4.

Depart for Jinja after your breakfast. You will be driven to Jinja. You will go through Mabira forest. The Mabira Forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometers in Uganda, located in Buikwe District, between Lugazi and Jinja. It has been protected as Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932. It is home for many endangered species like the primate Lophocebus Uganda

Explorers River Camp: Situated 8km from Jinja town overlooking the new Lake Bujagali, Explorers River Camp is often referred to as one of Uganda’s, and even Africa’s most memorable places to stay.

Whether you are camping, staying in dorms or rooms, our bar deck overlooking the river is the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer and amazing sunsets. The trees above boast a multitude of tropical bird life and monkeys, and the ‘riverside showers’ alone have become famous for the incredible scenery they overlook.

Lush terraces offer secluded safari tents with stunning views of the Nile. Our safari tents have become extremely popular and numbers are limited so it is strongly advised you book well in advance. In addition to our terraced safari tents we also offer standard safari tents and en-suite rooms.

Jinja Nile Resort rests on the banks of this magnificent River and offers magnificent views of the Nile and the rich fauna that it attracts. It offers services for both the business traveler and holiday maker.

The cottages and hotel services are spread over 30 acres of gardens allowing one to appreciate the beauty of the Uganda…the pearl of Africa.

Activities available from the resort include white water rafting and bungee jumping.

 Whitewater rafting & discovering the River Nile, this can be done on day 5.

Have an early breakfast and head out for today’s activities. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries. So your driver will take you to where the beginning point is as you go for discovering the Source of the Nile; you will go for a guided boat cruise on the Nile.

After the boat ride, go for half day rafting on the rapids which is an adventure and an unforgettable experience.

Have lunch and after you could choose to rest at the lodge on the swimming pool or go for optional activities like bungee jumping or kayaking or quad biking or Horse riding.

Return to Kampala the Entebbe International Airport, this can be done on day 6.

Take breakfast leave Jinja for Kampala buy some souvenirs to take home with you. If you have a flight on the same day your guide will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for departure flight home.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Kubwa Five Safaris will pick you up from the airport.

Itinerary

Day 1:Welcome to Uganda

On your arrival, Kubwa Five Safaris representative with your name printed on an A4 paper will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe airport and transfer you to Sky hotel in Kampala located 10 Km from the city center towards Naalya Housing Estate, it has a capacity of 29 Rooms with twin beds taking up 58 guests, there is one restaurant, which is open from 7-10 am for breakfast. However, it is open for the rest of the day for meals.

Depending on your arrival time, relax in your already-booked hotel after a long flight while you are dreaming of your safari tomorrow morning at 7:00am and then drive south to Lake Mburo National Park with enroute lunch in Mbarara.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge.

Day 2:Game Drive- Lake Mburo National Park

We begin the day with breakfast then go for a game drive in the park. Lake Mburo National park is home to several savannah wildlife such as the gigantic eland, topi, warthog, impala, zebras, leopards and several savannah bird species some of which include lapwings, hornbills, and cocqui francolin.

After lunch, we will embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo which is rich with a diversity of animal and plant species. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge.

Day 3:Chimpanzee Treeking- Kyambura Gorge

Begin the day with breakfast, and then embark on a drive to Kyambura Gorge for a primate walk expecting to see chimpanzees, vervet monkey, olive baboon and black & white Columbus monkey. We will then proceed back to Kampala making a stop at the Equator in Masaka for snacks, photographs and souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala later that evening and transferred to Entebbe for your departure flight

Accommodation for tonight is not inclusive in the program. If you wish to depart tonight from Entebbe International Airport (EBB), make sure your flight is at 10:00 or later. If you would like us to book one (or more) nights in Kampala and/or Entebbe, please let Kubwa Five Safaris know.
