This 5 day safari combines two of Kenya’s finest wildlife areas the Amboseli National Park and Ol Pejeta Conservancy: Both Safari camps are small and exclusive and run on the same principles – working closely with the local communities.

Safari Highlight:

Transfer between Amboseli and Nanyuki by scheduled air service.

Game drives from the camps in shared 4×4 safari vehicles (not vans) with excellent guides. (Private vehicles available at a supplement).

Walks with Maasai warriors, visit an authentic Maasai village, opportunity for night game drives, camps located in exclusive wilderness areas with no tourist minibuses.

An authentic safari experience staying in small exclusive camps with spacious guest tents, comfortably furnished with

private bathrooms, solar lights and located in attractive unspoilt natural settings.

At the camps all meals, drinks (wine, gin and tonic, beer, sodas, mineral water), shared game drives, walks, night drives and sundowners are included in the price.

Porini Rhino Camp also includes visits to Baraka the Black Rhino & Ol Pejeta’s Information Centre and the Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Optional activities at Ol Pejeta include: The Endangered Species Boma (to see the World’s last 3 remaining Northern White Rhino), Lion Tracking, Riding with Rhinos and Junior Rangers.

  • Accommodation-2 Nights Porini Amboseli Camp – 2 Nights Porini Rhino Camp (optional extra nights). The Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same environmentally sound principles. All camps are specially designed to have minimum impact with no permanent structures. Kubwa Five Safaris reserves the right to substitute equivalent or superior hotels. If a hotel of equivalent standard is not available Kubwa Five Safaris may substitute the next best quality hotel or suggest a superior at an extra charge.

Transportation – 4×4 Safari Landcruiser / Minivan (up to eight passengers) with pop-up tops and seven window seats for game viewing.Groups of twelve or more people who would like to travel in one vehicle are offered 25-28

Itinerary

Day One:

Pickup from Nairobi at 9am and transfer by safari minibus to Porini Amboseli Camp (a 5 hour journey of 128 miles), arriving at camp before lunch. (NB optional flight upgrade available at a supplement). Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Two:

Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared camp for dinner and overnight.
Day Two:

Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Three:

Early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli park to the airstrip for the 9am Safarilink flight to Wilson, connecting onto the 10.20h flight to Nanyuki (arriving at 11.30h). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off to look for rhino with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Four:

Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.

Day Five:

Depart Porini Rhino Camp and transfer to the airstrip for the 12.25h flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (arrives 13.20h).
